Neither snow, nor ice, nor a wind chill of minus 10 could keep the hole-in-the-wall gang from their appointed rounds yesterday.
They installed all the sunroom windows...
...then knocked a five-foot-wide hole in my bedroom. All before lunchtime!
By the time they left for the day, the new room was sort of done, except for the stucco,
trim work, and floor (which they'll be staining to match the stained concrete in the house).
Smooch: These windows are too high. How am I supposed to watch for trespassers?
Me: Relax. You can stand on the furniture, just like always.
I'm surprised Smooch had the energy to inspect the room once the crew left.
Her new full-time job of protecting me from these strangers is wearing her out,
which is a good thing because it's so stinkin' cold, we've skipped our walk for four days in a row.
I can't remember a more miserable stretch of frigid weather. It's supposed to warm up to the forties by the weekend.
No matter what the temperature, I think I'll be finding ways to enjoy the new room.
