I could use an extra pair of hands

Me: Be patient, Lucy. I'll get to you next.

Lucy: Why should George get any scratches at all? What does he do to earn his keep?
I'm the one who hauls your butt down the trail.

Me: Alright, alright, bring your ears over here.

Me: Stop looking at me like that! I only have two hands!

Lucy: And they always belong on me.

Lucy: Why is that so hard for you to grasp?

  1. It is times like this, when I see the love and the bond you have with the herd, that I wish my pastures were set up and my imaginary herd was standing at the fence dreaming of scratches. I'm still clearing, so your herd will have to do me! Thanks for sharing.

  2. I love Lucy. *grin* I just had to say that. She has the cutest polka dots on her back. I'm not sure I could handle the guilt she dishes out though. Whew.

Demanding isn't she (they all are), but that's a good thing. Don't you just love to be in their herd and enjoy the unconditional love. Seeing her soft nose this morning reminds me of just holding her face in my hands and not only feeling her soft nose, but smelling her breath and feeling her breath from her nose...for me it was a feeling of peace and oness. Have a wonderful day... Hugs

  5. Lucy has you well trained. How could you resist those eyes, that face. She expects a lot from you. Get to it.

  6. One word "backscratcher." but it might really be 2 words. However, i digress. With one of these pretty telescopic backscratchers you can scratch Lucy by hand and also (possibly) reach Alan or George. I like the pink one. http://www.backscratcherworld.com/telescopic.htm

But I also love the boys and Smooch and the sainted kitties and Wynonna and you, Carson.
P.S. And the snakes and Mr. P and Amelia and the swallows and the mice and...........
