A moment's peace

When it's time for me to get some rest, Alan takes over as night watchman.

  1. I was wondering if lying down was comfortable for George and Lucy....and how easy it was getting up. Alan must be one lonesome little donkey.

  4. It's heart wrenching to see Alan watching over George. If Lucy's lying down, does that mean her pain is easing some?

    1. Not sure what it means, other than she's lying down an awful lot the past couple of days and it's worrisome.

  8. I just want to hug each of you. You are an AMAZING Mama. Alan is an awesome sibling! He is being such a good helper by visiting them both.
He knows his Mama needs to rest too. So he is stepping up to watch over them while you take a nap. But secretly, He is counting down the days to when they are both feeling like their old selves again. After all, who is going to play hula with him? Or chase him and play tag? Or just plain being his funny self? He is ready to for them to come and play. He is ready to cause some mischief, and he needs their help!

Maybe Lucy and George just need some extra laying time to help give them strength to fight the junk going on in their bodies. And those pig snout treats are just what they are dreaming of while they take a rest.

POSITIVE thoughts being sent your way.

  11. maybe figting the infection is really taking a lot of energy?
Do you think it was caused by her laying down in the cholla plant?

I can only imagine how tiresome and worrying this all must be. But I can also see the complete trust en peacefulness in this picture - a much needed ingredient in any recovery.
    Paws crossed.
