2015...a year in pictures

The annual year-end tradition lives on.

I love putting these together each year, if for no other reason than I can watch every edition
on New Year's Day and wonder what the next will bring.
I hope it brings nothing but happiness for all of you.

  1. A breathtakingly beautiful video! I don't comment often but must take the opportunity to thank you for the pleasure and beauty you add to my life through your blog. Your wonderful photography talent, your devotion to your very lucky furry children, your resourcefulness in living alone on the ranch, inspire and tell a wonderful story. I live just up the road from you in Los Alamos so also get to appreciate the beauty of our state. Best wishes for health, peace and joy in 2016. Becky

  5. After looking at all those wonderful photos you might think I'd have something pertinent to ask; however, I'm wondering: do you burn your paper trash?

    1. Ha! No, I take all my trash to the dump (fear of setting the range on fire).

  10. Xena cat is in my lap watching along and we're feeling right at home with you. It's such an unusual feeling to read your blog first thing in the morning (even though we woke up very late today) and seem to be like Navy wife neighbors when our husbands go to sea. I try to explain it to Jim, but he's just not a computer guy. *lol* Thank you for sharing a taste of the desert with me.

  20. What a photographer you are! I kept saying to myself, "That's my favorite. No, that one is. No, wait! How cool that one is." Well done. I so wish I could have been there to see you get that overhead of the crew licking peanut butter or whatever off the jollyball on the rope.

I never really cared for New Mexico while I lived there, but you've enlightened me on it's amazing beauty, made me laugh at your fuzzy friends and smile with your quirky humor. Happy 2016.

  21. So many beautiful images, whether sentimental or just plain purdy. It made me realize that you're not south of nowhere, you're at the center of your heart's desire. ♥

  22. Happy New Year to you Carson. I echo all the sentiments above. What beautiful shots - what beautiful creatures you have wrapped your life around. I want to crawl right through my computer screen and bring my donkeys and cats down to live next door!! Thank you for the beauty, the smiles, the chuckles and tears and wows! that you bring into my days. I LOVE being able to see a little of what a life in the desert would be like. Magical, just magical!
