In search of

Johnny patrols his territory with the same intensity that Smooch patrols hers...

 ...but for altogether different reasons.

Smooch looks for trespassers, Johnny looks for food.

I look for the perfect shot, which I didn't get before Johnny jumped down in pursuit of his prey.
Alas, the sun will go down tomorrow and I'll get another chance.

  1. I am sorry but I dont agree, it is not food he is looking for but trespassers of a smaller size
which I think he does not eat but offers to the chickens. He is as useful as Smooch.

  2. IMO JCC "food" are trespassers ;) Thankfully I have 2 kitty cats to protect me should I ever get one of those kind of trespassers eh!

  6. Johnny what a little lover...I swear I can almost feel that sunshine even though it's low on the horizon. It looks really nice coming through those gorgeous curtains!

  7. The first photo would be amazing if you photoshopped the fence and weather station out. It captures so many things.
Cameras love orange cats, they look great in almost any light, especially dawn and dusk.

  8. I have a cat who attacks strangers coming into the house. I think I'd prefer she just attacked food.

  10. I've had cats for 20 years living in different countries, and I 've never use chemical products to clean
nor had any insect in the house, like cockroach or that sort, and the last two cats I have
are amazing fly catchers, one of them smashes them against the windows
without making them dirty. Cats are the guardians of the small energies

  11. I read your blog every morning, kind of like a cup of coffee. And the mornings I open it up to a post about Johnny is a big treat. What a gorgeous cat with a ton of personality. Your pics are amazing. And the blue sky is envious coming from the PNW of dismal gloom most of the year.
But that cat brings a huge smile to my face.
