JohnnyCouchCat

The last couple of nights, Johnny has joined me while I work on the next day's blog post.

He's generally polite and patient and stays off the keyboard until I'm done.

Like all good internet-fame-seeking cats, he's purr-fecting his poses.

Once the blog post is done, the feral beast and I retire to the couch to watch tv ...

and play with the photo app on the computer.

  2. What great pictures of you and Johnny Cash Cat! I can't understand how he ever got in a Barn Cat Relocation program. (I volunteered with one) Maybe he was just misunderstood....so glad for you both that he found someone like you! I enjoy ALL of your critters. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I don't think he's feral anymore. Cats are smart. They figure out where life is comfortable. It sure is nice and warm chez toi.
    Happy New Year.
    Best always,

  4. It would appear that cats are born with sense that they belong on a couch with a warm and caring human ;D

  5. I love your Johnny!
He looks like my Dewey who originally showed up on the doorstep at a friends home in the country.
You really have to watch out for those "feral" cats, they can steal your heart!
    :D

  6. That's a good nickname for Johnny: FB for Feral Beast. He's such a fierce... Errr... Cuddly thing.

  7. He looks so sweet on his perch and on your lap. It was natural how he made his way into your heart and home... where he belongs.

  11. So long gone are the days where he longingly stared into the window. You two love each other and there is no going back, you're hooked. Johnny is completely photogenic and knows when to strike a pose......really smart cat. Very easy on the eyes, too!! =^. .^=

  12. I think he was just pretending to be feral. What does Smooch think about this new snuggle buddy of yours?

  14. JCC is such a handsome fella. And I echo the other comments when I say that "feral beast" is one lucky barn cat to have found his place in life as your cuddle cat too. Great photos of a perfect way to end an evening.

I have to agree Johnny Cat was not feral just misunderstood. I glad to see him in the house snuggling with you. How is Smooth taking the change?

  18. There's nothing like an orange boy to love. I know, I have one.

    Stay warm,

  19. Stays off the keyboard? Remarkably restrained behavior for a cat. My cat is of the solid opinion that I need an editor.

  20. And I quote:

"not allowed to get attached. Under any circumstances. Ever.
Keep reminding me of that, ok?"

Ha ha ha ha haaaa! I'm glad he's in the house. It's cold out there. -- Min

  23. Never mind previous "resolutions" - this is so right on so many levels! And totally heartwarming :)
Is it the lighting or do the two of you have this most harmonious hair color scheme going? Cool.

  24. What a cute boy! Johnny definitely loves you and his new home.
Mom has a "feral" cat that weaseled its' way into the house and her heart a few years ago. The cat has been of great comfort to Mom.

  25. Where is Smooch when this happens?

  26. Maybe two ferals here, recognizing the peace in each.

  27. Yeah, Carson, I'm also thinking that Johnny isn't so feral anymore. We had an old chair that we put outside our front door (we also have a 6' fence around the front of the house) and our two outdoor cats LOVE IT! We don't have the heart to move it now...sigh...cats always seem to know how to keep warm, eh?

  30. There may soon be A[nother] Never-Ending Conversation starting in your home! (Post of July 18, 2011.) Except that this time, JCC being the cool cat that he is, chances are that it will involve purrs only and no claws. (At least, this is one of my wishes for your 2014!)
