Taking shifts in the sunroom

The sunroom is everyone's favorite spot in the house.

No day is complete without some sunroom time.

Smooch can keep an eye on a big chunk of the pasture from here,

and she can also make sure that the snake in the corner doesn't get loose.

JohnnyCashCat gets the afternoon shift.

The light in the sunroom is perfect for showing off his salt-and-pepper whiskers.

  7. I've never seen salt and pepper whiskers before. Just beautiful Mr. Johnny!

The sunroom would be my favorite, too. ;)

  8. All the different eyes you get to look into in the course of a day! Different eyes, same look of love.

Sunroom time-share seems like a neat compromise for the time being.

  12. I wonder if Johnny ever wonders where that JuneCarterCash cat wandered off to ... I just have to imagine he knows he made the right decision to stay and she is just off catting around somewhere! I agree that one day we'll be seeing pics of Smooch and Johnny cuddled together in the sunroom! Looking forward to those pics!! Hugs from CO ... Marcia

  13. That is so cute. I think if Smooch feels loved, she will eventually accept Johnny. Johnny has so much love in his eyes. Someday that'll be for Smooch too. It'll just take time and security.

  15. I love that last shot. My cat has salt-and-pepper whiskers too, but only ONE is salt. Looks very strange. I guess she's the reduced sodium version.

  16. This post just makes my heart sing. They are both such lovies. Here's hoping someday they will peacefully coexist. Time is the handler for that.

  18. That whole dog/cat cuddling thing is just crazy talk here. Stella and Zkhat have been together six years and while they have a peaceful co-existence, no cuddlings gonna happen here! Good luck to Smooch and JC, I hope they figure it out!

    Cheers,
    Jo

  19. I hope the two get to like each other. I guess I just thought Smooch would like cats since you've some before. Slow steps ... and Johnny is adorable like usual. Love the whiskers.
