Home alone

Yesterday, for the first time since August 28, I was home alone.
Call it one more step on the way back to normal.

Seven weeks of social interaction ... I honestly didn't think I had it in me, hermit that I am.
But I loved every minute that my ranchsitters spent here.
There's no way I could have healed without them.

Now the animals and I are back to entertaining ourselves and doing the chores without help.

Don't worry – we'll take it easy and pace ourselves.

Keeping out "eyes" on you so you don't do too much too soon, Miss Independent! I'm glad you are doing so well and feeling much, much better!

  6. Congratulations!! I really have trouble when folks stay at my house for more than 5 or 6 days.
It's so very hard to take help from anyone, and you've done it with grace and a smile.

  9. Daily living is a wonderful thing. JCC is just as photogenic as everybody else at the 7MSN. Acts like it has always been his home.

    Siestas, good habit to have.

  11. I never expected to start my days with donkeys, but doggone it, they grow on you. You are a lucky lady to have such good friends -- animal and human.

  12. It IS wonderful to see you standing on your own 2 feet, but it was certainly a heart-warming thing that you had so many people to look after you when you needed the help. And that you accepted the help!

  13. While you may wish to follow Wynona's example of taking it easy. You don't have a chance. She's a pro.

I'm glad you feel well enough to be on your own.

  15. Ah, sweet solitude. There's healing power in that, too.

I really do envy the way so many rallied to your support in a real tangible way. I'm not sure I'd get the same level of support you did, if I were to find myself in the same position.

    Blessings,
    Carolynn
