Peach's wild ride

It was Thursday at lunchtime, and I went outside to do chores. I shooed all the chickens into their pen, or so I thought,
and let Wynonna into the yard for the afternoon. I was back at work in my office when something out the window caught my eye.

Peach was having pork for lunch.

Peach: Could you pass the mustard, please?

Peach: Easy there, girlfriend. I'm riding bareback and there's nothing to hang on to.

Wynonna: Get off my back now or I will buck you off.
This isn't my first rodeo, you know.

Wynonna won the go-round, Peach rejoined her sisters in the coop, and I went back to work.

There's never a dull moment at the 7MSN!

Perhaps she was checking Wynona's back for tasty morsels? (A black spider could hide itself in there for hours no doubt!)

Great that you were able to photograph this! It does look as if Wynonna is pretty pleased with herself in the last picture. Some may say it's because she got Peach off her back.....or perhaps it's because she enjoyed the whole episode.

Brings to mind the Brementown Musicians. Now you just need to put Wynonna up on Hank, then Smooch, then Peach. Yahoo!

Guess Wynonna showed her who's boss around there.

I thought Wynonna was enjoying the back scratch, but maybe not. I'm glad you caught this moment. We don't get to see these girls that much.

Wynonna not only endures a nasty beak but oh those claws!
Everybody looks so healthy at your place. Good luck with Hank's medication.
Best always,

I think Peach and Wynonna had an agreement to hijack your blog for the day!

It's probably a good thing that Peach is quicker than Wynonna. Our neighbor's PBP would have chased her down and flattened her yellow chicken bootie.

That was a cute post. Wynonna didn't look too happy, kind of like an "angry bird"!
