Deck the dog

Smooch: Why must you hang lights on me? Would it kill you to buy a Christmas tree?

Smooch: I'm dreaming of a normal Christmas...just like the ones I used to know.

Smooch: Where they decorate the house, not the dog.

Smooch: Santa's gonna get you for this.

Smooch, this is what happens at our house too!

I hope there were many dog treats to help deal with the emotional trauma...

  9. Poor long suffering pooch. Smooch is the most tolerant, accommodating Christmas tree stand-in, I know. Talk about bling. Very pretty.

  12. Smooch, you look beautiful! Admit it, you secretly like dressing up once in awhile. I'm the sameway. I complain about having to dress up, but once in awhile I do enjoy it.

  23. I think I heard someplace that Smooch, because she is such a good dog and the other lovely critters at 7MSN were going to get a letter of commendation from Santa for behavior above and beyond. Smoochie is such a sweetheart.

  24. Our puppy would never stay still for this-and if she did, she'd start gnawing on something.
Smooch is such a beautiful and patient girl. Love the photos.

  26. It is always SUCH a TREAT to see how perfectly your lines seem to match beautiful Smooch's soulful expression... I almost felt sorry for her for a minute there!!

  27. Are we reading the same lines? I am not getting Smooch wanting to be a "good sport" about this at all. He is reporting his Mom, the Decorator, to Santa Claus.

My suggestion, if you have to decorate an animal (I don't feel the need myself) to hit up Wynonna with lights and all the trimming, more room there and perhaps less concern for her resulting looks. Just an idea, and Smooch you could have your canine pride back.

    Cheers,
