The strangest thing happened this morning

It was 6:15. I opened my eyes and realized it was getting light outside and that I had overslept.
I rushed to get dressed because I knew the herd would be on the edge of an insurrection.

But when I got out to the barn, everyone was as calm as could be and Alan was doing his yoga.

My ranch hands had the morning routine well underway.

Hank: They're taking a little too long.

Alan: You're spilling.

Wynonna: Who's got my cookie this time? Are you going to make me guess again?

The animals aren't as appreciative of the new help as they should be...

...but I am!

I'm leaving on a jet plane this afternoon, but the ranchsitters say they'll email me pictures
so I can try to keep the blog going while I'm gone.

Have a safe enjoyable trip. Give your folks hugs for all of us. Give your new ranch hands hugs for us. They certainly deserve it.

  4. Yay...You got to sleep in.
So fun to see the herd with the feed room door open. I think they have trained these hands well. Even Wy is cracking the whip.
Enjoy your trip. I know your parents are excited. Pictures, please.

  5. Wow...do they do windows, too? Excellent support staff you have there. You know, you could start a little side business - people could pay you to come and experience life on a real working donkey/horse/pig/dog/chicken ranch. You know what they say - if you build it, they will come. Enjoy your trip!
