Another new paint color

I call this one New Mexico Monsoon Season Blue (not to be confused with New Mexico Twilight Blue.)

It looks like the color of one of those great silk scarves that you have. I never tire of looking at the blue skies of New Mexico - all 10,000 shades of them.

Beautiful blues. We have to get you hooked up with Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore.

Beautiful photos.

I purchased something this week, and immediately thought of you. I would like to send it to you as a little surprise...

Would you email me your address?

My email is on my blog. I will give you a hint...it has something to do with one of your animals....any guesses? I will say this, it is vintage.

I love the closeups of your burros. It makes them look noble. Of course I have the video in my head of them "dancing" so this is a different side of them.

Is his bro eating the hair off his neck?

I love looking at your critters.

And your sky......

I agree with Grey Horse, those are great paint names. I looked at those photos and read your post and wanted to redecorate immediately - a nice NM Monsoon Blue with Burro Brown trim!

Don't we have just the most amazing skies? If it weren't for the rain and the snow, I would live out on the deck full time.

Have you been keeping the freeze brands shaved, or does their coat grow that slowly? I wondered too about the neck biting during play. Horses seem to be a precarious balance between dangerous strength and vulnerable delicacy.

Lynette, burro hair seems to grow verrrrry slowly - I haven't done anything to their brand areas since the initial clip five weeks ago. For as much as they gnaw on each other, George and Alan are cut- and scrape-free. Their skin is so much tougher and thicker than the horses'.
