Indoor and outdoor grievances

Alex likes the new couch. She has more room to stretch out, as do I,
which was the whole point of buying a new one.

The challenge now is to keep her dirt and dog hair on the covered side.

This is Alex's "I reject the premise of the discussion" face,

followed by her "I can't get close enough to you with this damned pillow in the way" face.

If it's looking extra bright outside the windows in these pictures,
blame it on the April showers...

 ...which brought snow.

We all had some choice words to say about that.

  3. Alex’s face is priceless, such a cutie. It’s that an aloe plant? Very pretty
I think we are getting your snow this afternoon, ugh. I still need to switch out my snowblower for the mower.
The couch looks very cozy with the throw, love it!

    1. Yes, that is an aloe vera plant. They're multiplying like rabbits around here and deserving of their own post.

  4. Alex has a point. Not sure Alan and George mind the snow too much. Seems odd though. Our fruit trees back up the yard a ways had to deal with a temp of about 29 overnight. April can be so mean sometimes.

  5. Wow... snow pics were a surprise! Just a new kind of crazy every day it seems. Love the "couch cover", perfect for your house. Couch looks comfy, have you fallen asleep on it yet? We have a outdoor sectional on the front porch and it has magical powers for putting you to sleep. Hope it warms up for you soon! Lisa G in TN

    1. The couch is a little too comfortable - I'm starting to watch more tv but falling asleep before I finish anything.

  6. 61 degrees here in S. CO today ... tomorrow - 44 degrees and 80% chance of rain and snow! Oh boy!
Alex always has that worried look to her little fuzzy mug!

  9. Such a serious little face! I take it she does not appreciate the snow? So glad the new couch is working out and I love the chicken path!

  10. It’s a Law of the Universe that the dog will lie next to the couch covering but with his/her chin ON the cover in order to make a point about power relationships.
