Christmas Caroling with a Dancing Chicken

17 comments:

  1. Thanks for the Monday morning video (vimeo flavor -- I can see those from the non-home access) ... what a hoot. It may be cold and rainy outside, but I am working hard not to laugh this early ;)

Interesting reaction from the herd, but maybe they have 'heard' it all before.
So the Singing Sock Monkey has survived? I'm surprised that Smooch hasn't introduced him to the rest of her toys.
I like your tree, it's simplicity is inspiring!
Merry Christmas to you , Smooch & Johnny, and the herd (and the girls too).

  2. HAHAHA!
My favorite parts are Smooch's embarrassed expressions and (in the closeup) Hanks gorgeous face with his winter coat. I want to rub his face!

  3. You must have had a ball doing this movie (but aren't you scared of Chicken a la King hacking your Blog because you have offended Chickendom?)

  4. Smooch is being very patient in the face of her mother's apparent seasonal insanity.
Poor girl, bear up. It'll be over soon.

  8. Love that drunk chicken! It's the only way to do the chicken dance. Tell your crew the treats are on the way.

  10. Great movie! I'm just glad that I had finished my coffee before watching it. I almost watched it during my coffee-drinking time, but waited until I was alone and could turn up the volume. I was not disappointed.

  14. Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment
(it was extremely long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I had written and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to everything.
Do you have any suggestions for rookie blog writers?

    I'd certainly appreciate it.

HAHAHAHAHA! Does Hank ever spook at anything?! He seemed so "omg, not another one..." about the chicken!

I still think I like the sock monkey best! ;)

  16. I so want to hug Smooch! OK, and everyone else. And the crazy chuck-chuck? Is pretty crazy - the feet, the falling, the head-banging against wooden posts, oh my. But the best part always is how the animals graciously bear with us humans and our idea of funny... Btw, the sock monkey wins my vote - because it makes me want to screech-imitate its screeching part, or the "Doo-do-do-doooo". (Haven't dared attempting it so far, though, coward.)
Be careful what noisy automaton you pick next year - Smooch may end up claiming that she doesn't know you!! :-D
