The fog will lift soon

This is the last group of foggy pictures to share.
I've tried to whittle them down to a hope-I-don't-bore-you number.
Maybe it won't seem so bad if you consider I could have posted all 410?

I didn't take many pictures of Alan and George,
and they seemed a little put off by the lack of attention.
I hate looking at their grazing muzzles as much as they hate wearing them.

I didn't expect Hank to stop eating...

 ...but he finally did...

...and then we all hung out...

 ...watching Lucy eat.

I love the way the ranch looks and feels in the fog.

It's like an added layer of insulation from civilization.
Does that make me sound like a hermit? I guess I am.
A hermit with a blog.

  1. I LIKE the fog pictures. They're so different from the usual in your neck of the woods. And I know what you mean about the insulating effect of fog. Makes you feel all private and secret and safe, doesn't it?

  2. A not-so-bad way to be! Think about it. Before, hermits shunned the outside world. You don't shun it, so much as spend time in the inside-the-ranch world that you DO love.

  3. Naw, hermits don't have donkeys, horses, chickens, pigs, cats, dogs, antelopes, snakes, birds & spiders. Did I forget anyone?

  4. my husband and I are hermits living on 100 x 100 lot in city limits... we planted trees on all 4 sides and when we look out can not see our neighbors. we would love to be a hermit in the country like you but can't afford it and are way to old to do it now. i love the gate shot

  8. The fog shots are welcome change. You don't fog that often, do you? It's a nice contrast.

  9. I think it really is an insulation. I know it is much quieter here when there is a heavy fog.

  10. A hermit with a blog only in the fog. With a dog. Oh stop. Loved the pic of Alan and George seemingly parting ways and your ethereal looking gate. Jean

  12. Insulating fog and hanging out with your herd in green, green pastures. Are you sure you're still on this Earth?

  13. My favorite bloggers are hermits....I am aware of two. I needed a new government computer screen photo. I chose the bird on cactus.
While I try to be a hermit with no blog, no fog and just a dog, my coworkers ooohhh and aaahhh over my computer screen photos. They have been mostly just yours. One day one of my co-workers asked me if those were my donkeys. I turned around and replied, "why yes they are, every morning around 8:30".
