Saturday encore ~ Everybody gets tired

I rolled a tire into the pasture Sunday morning, and Hank was the first to investigate.

Lucy: We all know where this is going. He's going to tip that thing over and scare the hell out of himself...

Lucy: Or me, as the case may be.

Alan took the next turn.

Round and round and round it goes, where it stops, nobody knows.

It landed squarely roundly on a bush, much to my and Alan's amazement.

Alan: I'm not sure what the point of this game is, but I'm pretty sure we're supposed to put our noses in the middle.
George: And hope like heck we don't get stuck here for eternity.

Lucy finally stepped up to see what all the fuss was about.

Thinking it might be some sort of licorice jelly doughnut, she warned Alan to back off.

Lucy: I am perfectly capable of investigating this new object all on my own
and I'll thank you very much to get the hell out of here.

Alan: B*tch.

 * sniff sniff *

George: There's something in the air...

George: Can't quite figure out what it is. Never smelled it before. I think I might sneeze.

George: It's not very pleasant, I can tell you that.

George: It smells flat, with hints of rubber and roadkill.
I don't think it was a very goodyear.

  1. Oh, what a great way to kick-start the weekend! If there are typos in this, it's only because I've laughed so hard over the herd's shenanigans and your hilarious commentary that my eyes have teared up!

  2. Oh my gosh, this is my first visit to your blog via Hartwood Roses, and I laughed right out loud until tears came with this post. Thank you for a good start to the day. The photos are wonderful, the expressions on their faces amazing. George is a real hoot. The dialog is GREAT, especially with the last photo. :-)

  9. Oh how funny! Carson you certainly out did yourself this time! You and your companions gave me a much needed belly laugh! Thank you! I was wondering are your donkeys very vocal? Do they only yeehaw when it's dinnertime or just whenever? These are prolly stupid questions but I've never been around donks so I honestly don't know! Amazing shots of your incredibly personable critters! Love it!

  11. I always thought "ROTFL" was a silly thing to say, but, well, this encore had me sorta doing just that for the second time now. The facial expressions! The commentary! I'm done with exercising my abs for today!!
