Woe is Wynonna

It snowed here again yesterday, and it was cold and windy and miserable,
probably much like it is in your neck of the woods.

Wynonna emerged from her pigloo an hour before the appointed dinner hour.
Good thing, too, because if I hadn't taken these pictures of her through the windows,
there wouldn't be a blog post today.

I spied her walking down the path to the front porch.
Perhaps she thought her effort would be rewarded with an early supper.

Smooch: I hear you knocking, but you can't come in.

Wynonna: Bitch.

Undeterred, she made her way to the back door, where she typically waits for me in the morning.

Wynonna: Who am I kidding? She won't get her butt out here until it's time to feed those beasts in the barn.

Wynonna: Might as well try the front door again. Maybe that uppity dog will let me in this time.

Wynonna: That ditch is around here somewhere. I'll probably sink and get stuck.
That will teach her. Then she'll have to run out and save me.

The princess knows exactly how to push my buttons.

Excuse me. I have to go feed a pig.

  1. Oh by all means, you're excused! :D
A blog post courtesy HRH - thanks, Wynonna! (If I hadn't known better, I'd have felt sorry for the poor, starving, lonely pig in the snow, lol)

  4. Love, love, love the pic of Wynonna at the door and Smooch!! Reminds me of how my oldest daughter looked (or didn't look) at my middle daughter the first few weeks after we brought her home from the hospital! ("Maybe if I don't look at her, she will really not be there") :):):):)

  7. The whole time I was reading and looking at the images as they scrolled down the screen, I was thinking,'I would SO be letting Wy come into/onto the screened porch...she's so pitiful out there in the cold snow...she just needs a warm place to.........OOPS! WAIT! WhAT?! OH. I guess that wouldn't be such a good idea after all. Wow. That's a lot of poop. She was just trying to make the point that she really is on 'EMPTY'!!! Pretty darn smart. I just love her...

  9. She's hilarious! Love that pig. I'm sure she was just trying to keep warm by eating early or maybe she knew it would get dark soon and you might not see her. There's probably a lot more thinking going on than you think there is. ;)

  10. Wynonna is one resourceful (note to mention tenacious) princess! Who else would think of trying both doors?

As always, the commentary is spot on and hilarious! Thanks for my daily belly laugh :D

  13. Poor little piggy . . .just wants a little food, thats all!

Or maybe she found out she is not anywhere on the 2014 7MSN calendar, and needed to bulk up a little more.

My first 7MSN calendar came yesterday and I only realized how much I liked KNOWING everyone who was on it. The pics are great and the January holidays are: New Years Day, MLK Day and Smooch's birthday. Days worth celebrating.
Every month has important days mentioned. More than fun and I will be hooked on this calendar, for many years to come.

    Cheers,
    Jo

  16. It's -27C here this morning ...and I still have over an hour's worth of shovelling snow drifts in order to clear it all away after two days of blizzarding a few days ago... and I'm not even in the worst hit areas of the city ....... think I'll wait for the sun to poke through at least.... it's so much better with sun on your face even if it's damn cold.

  17. SEE......that's why I love Princess Wynonna so much! Because she is cute AND smart. Besides, sometimes a girl gets extra hungry in the cold snow. Have a heart Smooch and show some brotherly love. Hugs to everyone at 7MSN! Great pics, great blog!

  18. Oops! I meant to say Smooch, show some sisterly love. My apologies, Smooch.

  19. Everyone could do with a few extra calories and a treat at this time of year. Brave girl tromping around in the snow like that.

  21. Yay, Wynonna! Y'know, Princess Wynonna, now that Johnny Cash Cat has talked his way into the house, I think you might 'suggest' that seniority dictates YOU be allowed in there too! Just don't tell the human that PBPs are very quick to learn to open fridges. :)

  22. Our pig Bud has been gone for over two years, but I laughed out loud at Wynonna's snow walk. Those pigs are something, aren't they?
