It was late Sunday afternoon – a little windy, kind of cloudy, and the herd was passing the time until their next meal.
I looked out the window and saw Hank and Lucy napping. George and Alan were up to something, I knew not what.
I went outside to get a closer look.
They weren't getting into any trouble–for a change–just playing Jolly Ball and looking particularly adorable.
Dear Jolly Ball Manufacturer,
You might want to rethink your claim that "puncturing and biting will not destroy" your product.
Anyway, George and Alan were putting on quite a show, running around with the Jolly Ball ...
... using the Jolly Ball to plow the pasture ....
... and getting into a spirited game of tug-of-Jolly Ball.
It was all fun and games until somebody decided to cheat. Come back tomorrow to find out who did what to whom.
Oh, no! Somebody CHEATED? How rude!
ReplyDeleteCarson--it's a long time til tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteIt must be in their blood, my mini donkeys (Zech and Zur) do the same thing with their Jolly Ball (which looks the same way). I just love to watch them drag it around their area. George and Alan are just soooo sweet. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing George took the JB by the handle and ran off with it.
ReplyDeleteThe Dancing Donkey has some large tires for her horse and donkeys to play with. I mean like tractor and truck large. While they look too big to me, I wonder if any of your local businesses have an used tire from a motorcycle or Ranger your guys might enjoy. The only problem is their noses might not be as close (and thus as cute) with a larger toy.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I read the post title, I thought of Alan...
ReplyDeleteThere hasn't been a toy made yet that will withstand Willow's attentions. She can chew through a toy (and have half of it eaten) in mere minutes. The Chuck-It line of toys have been pretty sturdy though.
Cheat???? surely not. They are such well behaved...oh yeah it is George and Alan huh. Can hardly wait.
ReplyDeleteOh no! A 7MSN cliff hanger!
ReplyDeleteJo
You tease! I suspect Hank.
ReplyDeleteMy guess would be George, but Alan looks like he's working on a stink-eye in the last picture. Hmm.
ReplyDeleteI have always wonder what the boys would do with one of the large balls like Pat Parelli uses with his horses. I can't wait until tomorrow to see who is cheating.
ReplyDeleteWhen things get to that point our momma always steps in and takes away the toy and sends us all off to "think about being nicer."
ReplyDeleteOhmygoodness...particularly adorable is right! Sigh <3
ReplyDeleteGlad to see they're doing their part around the ranch, with the plowin' and all. Though, you've got an awful lot of pasture...hope that jolly ball is up to the job. :-)
