A little weather

A little winter weather moved in over the weekend, but I'm not complaining.
My rain gauge hasn't collected anything except dust since September.
A half inch of rain fell overnight on Thursday, then an inch of snow fell on top of that on Friday.

It made for a great big muddy mess, but we didn't care.

Lucy used the stump to remove the mud from her face...

...and looked more beautiful than ever when she was done.

As much as I've come to appreciate the many shades of brown that the southwest offers,
seeing white on the ground is a nice change of pace.

But by Saturday, the snow had melted and we were back to brown.

As luck would have it, more snow came down Saturday night.

The light Sunday morning was worth the sacrifice of frozen fingers and cold feet.

Look closely and you'll see a bunny hopping by.

This is my new favorite picture of George.

And this is my new favorite picture of Lucy.

Ta-ta for now. My fingers are numb and it's time to go back in the house and turn it upside down.
Huh? I'll explain tomorrow.

  2. Great snow shots. Love the new one of George!

Blows the myth of forever blue skies in NM seeing those storm clouds though...

Good luck searching for whatever it is you are turning the house upside down for!

  11. We got a dusting on Saturday night in ABQ but the cold was biting. The White Dog Army would invite everyone at your ranch inside for warm snacks and blankie naps.
