Wishing and hoping

I stood on my front porch Thursday night, wishing and hoping that this rainstorm,
over yonder to the east, would inch its way to me. It never did.
It hovered over the foothills for the longest time putting on quite a show, but left bupkis in my rain gauge.
I took a few pictures and didn't give it another thought until I went to town yesterday.

My mailbox and my neighbors near the highway got 5! inches of rain and a flash flood,
and all I got were a couple of nice pictures. My rain envy lives to see another day.

Linda, I think we should do rain dances as it might help and if nothing else we could have fun with some exercise. The photos are stunning.
