At the tail end of the day

I've got a sign in my office that reads "My Therapists Eat Hay." Truer words were never spoken.
At the tail end of the day, there is no place I would rather be than sitting out at the barn,
watching and listening to Lucy and the boys chew.

Me: Hank, please stop swishing your tail. I'm trying to line up a shot here.

Me: Don't roll your eyes at me. I asked you nicely.

Static cling.

With all the hay consumed, my therapy session ended and Hank high-tailed it out to the pasture.

Me: Yes, George, you have a very nice tail, too, but this lens makes your butt look too big.

  1. I love just being out with the horses too. There is something so relaxing just sitting back watching them. Hank has the beautiful full tail, but there is something super cute about burro/donkey tails and I love the dun stripes.

  3. Your therapists have such a keen sense of protocol....swish and crunch, then pose. Happy Day to you and the ranch. Oma Linda

  4. Looks like everyone left the group therapy happy. Love to see all the colors and shades in Lucy's coat. She's so pretty.

  5. Man! You could see the irritation in Hank's face. I love a donkey's personality and there's just something about the long ears that makes you want to whisper all your secrets in them. Thanks for the pictures you and your critters make my day...every day!

  6. I love the sound of horses munching. Don't have donkeys but someday I will, and will love to hear them too.

  7. My favorite sleep therapy is leaving the bedroom window open & listening to my boys munch at their hay. Who needs tranquilisers?

  8. George has a skinny little butt, abut a big belly. Sorry if that offended you, Goerge, but I love Buddha bellies.
