Grasshopper: I wait for the right moment to jump.

  1. I have a feeling the chickens appear in Part II. This is like a Hitchcock movie.

  6. I never gave grasshoppers much thought. Now that I've seen the barbs on their legs, their orange eyes, and that thing on their behind, I have a new way of thinking about them. Nice close-up shots.

  7. Is that a grasshopper or a Mormon cricket? I've never seen that kind of tail on a California grasshopper.

  10. Oh! Look at him! I've been quite intrigued by the unexpected beauty of bugs when viewed close up like this, lately. So complex and quite gorgeous. Nice capture.
