My lucky charm

Losing an animal is a kind of heartbreak like no other. I know every reader of this blog loves animals,
and you've probably lost one or more in your lifetimes, and you know the kind of awful it is.

When somebody dear to me loses an animal dear to them, I'm always at a loss as to what to do or say to help make the pain go away.
Send flowers? Bake a casserole? Totally inadequate. So the last time someone dear to me lost someone dear to them,
I went searching around on Etsy and found this:

The instant I saw it I knew it was the perfect little treasure to help my dear friend keep her dear friend close to her heart.
You may remember seeing Justina wearing it in this post
The extra super cool thing about this pendant is that the jewelrymaker
will etch a sentiment of your choice on the back.

Once I saw Justina wearing hers, I knew I had to have one, too.
Thank you, Curious Crow Jewelry, for making this for me.

I've never loved a piece of jewelry more and will likely wear it every single day.
It's a charm that reminds me how lucky I am to have longears in my life.

Snapper thinks it's pretty cool, too.

  4. This sums it up nicely:
'Hearts that are broken by the passing of a beloved animal are not easy to mend,
but getting them pumping again with another animal to love is a place to start.'
    Thanks Carson.

  9. I just checked it out...I wonder how many names he/she can put on one. I think I'll get one for the donkeys and maybe they could design one that looked a little more like a mule. Thank you so much for sharing. You found such good sites Hugs to all

  16. I got one too! She is making me a bracelet that has a "link" for each of the equines I've had in my family over the years - it is going to be stunning - I'll post a photo on camera-obscura when it's done.
