Blessed are the meek

Alan was enjoying a nap all by himself the other evening,
so I seized the opportunity and went over to sit next to him.

Sure wish I knew how you got that scratch on your nose, Scarface.

But what lovely teeth you have.

Healthy gums, too.

Let me take care of those eye goobers for you.

About then, George caught on that Alan and I were sharing a moment
and came over to break things up.

George: Alone time with mom? What's up with that?

Alan: I'm entitled to a few extra hugs now and then on account of being the littlest.

Alan: So there.

  2. Don't tell George but Alan is my favorite. Maybe the two of them together is my favorite.

  3. Ah, aren't they just like human kids? They all want mom's attention and loves.

I'm an eye booger cleaner, too. Just can't help myself.

  4. Love how animals get jealous of one another and their human spent time. :-)

  5. Awe. I'm sure you've read the Christmas story "The Small One".

  6. Alan rocks, in his own unique way. I love ALL your critters, but the Dark One is hands-down my favorite. Still waters real do run deep.

  9. Haha. That's just what happens at my house with the dogs. I can't get over their personalities are just like dogs.

  11. Before I read the caption on the last photo, I thought "so there!" and laughed when I read it.

  12. Such good critters you have to let you man-handle them like that. I would love to get my fingers in Celine's mouth to clean her gums, but she's not having any of that! She might be old, but she's feisty, that one.
