Saturday encore ~ A Dog's Purpose

Last year at this time, I was reading a book called "A Dog's Purpose." I absolutely loved it and made a case for you to read it. Many of you did, and you told me how much you loved it. It has been on the NY Times Best Sellers list for six months and is being made into a movie by DreamWorks Studios. On behalf of your dog, here I am again trying to convince you to read it you haven't already. It's that good.

If you're a reader of this blog, I think it's a pretty safe assumption that you love animals.

Post processing: 1. Crop; 2. PW's Warmer action at 51%; 3. PW's Define and Sharpen action on Smooch's face; 4. PW's Quick Edge Burn action at 23%

And if you love animals, then you love dogs, because, really, how could you not?

And if you love dogs, then you simply have to go fetch a copy of the book
"A Dog's Purpose ~ A Novel for Humans," by W. Bruce Cameron.

After you've read it, you will love your dog even more.

And you'll have a better idea why your dog does some of those goofy things that make you smile.

  1. I read that book ages ago and consider it one of the best dog books I've read. Mmmmm, I may have to go back and re-read it now that you mentioned it again.

  6. That is an incredible book. I loved it. I guess I read it about a year or more ago too and I am happy to see the author is having success with it. I have to warn you though - it can be extremely intense in places and buy a couple of industrial size boxes of kleenex - but it has a good ending. I almost gave up after reading the first chapter because it was so intense I thought I just couldn't bear it, but I am so glad I stuck with it. The book is really a meaningful book.

  7. Dear Smooch, went directly to the library and found the book on the shelf. I hope there aren't sad parts. Thanks for the recommendation.
