The paws that refreshes

Smooch, stop staring at my toes and sit up, please.

I have a very special treat for you on this first day of summer...
something guaranteed to cool you off.

Smooch: Nom nom nom nom nom.

You might remember this post from April 2010 when I whipped up our first batch of homemade Frosty Paws. We've been busy in the 7MSN test kitchen trying to fine-tune the recipe and have discovered that the secret to the perfect frozen canine treat is the container in which it is served. Recycled plastic pudding cups work so much better than paper Dixie cups. Smooch gives this recipe four paws up.

Homemade Frosty Paws
 (makes 16 servings)

Ingredients:
2 ripe bananas
1 cup peanut butter
32 oz vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon of honey

Dump all ingredients in a food processor and pulverize until smooth.

Pour mixture into recycled plastic pudding cups.

Freeze.

Serve to dog.

Watch dog smile.

  1. Wally always has to have some 'paws' on hand, no matter what season. SO easy to make and so much cheaper then the store bought!

  2. Rowdy enjoys the more oval shaped yogurt containers from Wal-Mart's brand yogurt. Works for the shape of his tongue I guess... LOL

The sun was out here too, in celebration of the First Day of Summer! Yay! We missed Spring altogether, but our memories are alarming short around here once the sun starts shining. xoxo

  14. I've said it before and I will say it again. When I die, I want to come back as an animal living on MBF or 7MSN.
