It's never too cold to take pictures

I'm not a church-goer in the traditional sense. My idea of a meaningful Sunday worship service is a long trail ride. So it was with great disappointment that I awoke yesterday morning to snow flurries and bone-chilling wind. I went outside to tell Lyle that Sunday services were cancelled.

Hank and the burrito brothers were butts to the wind behind a juniper tree, until George and Alan saw the camera.

As if on cue, they decided to put on a little show. I think they were trying to bribe me.

If we give her a few good pictures, maybe she'll feed us again.

I don't think it's working, George.

Scrunch up your nose. She loves it when you do that.

Let's try more eye contact.

Wait! Mom, where are you going?

To get you more hay. Your cheap tricks worked again.

I'm with you, that's EXACTLY my idea of Sunday Services. But if it's snowing, yep, service is canceled!

  6. If this is your church, look out yonder. I'm in one of the pews. Love the boys. And I notice Deets got in on the action too. You made my day.

  9. My dad always said he felt closer to God behind the butts of his horses. He was not being irreverent. Just honest. I agree.
