My Little Cowpony

Somehow in the last three months, Lyle has evolved from an unpredictable knucklehead to a sensible, mature, steady, enjoyable ride. Who is no longer afraid of cows. And who doesn't mind me making movies in the saddle. Go figure.

  1. Now that was REALLY cool ... is that what we get to do after unloading hay?

  2. I guess sometimes they just get over themselves and learn to behave and have fun.
I've found that after all these years of not riding Dusty, because she was a real brat, she's come into her own and is mostly well-behaved now. We actually went on our first field trip yesterday and she was over enthusiastic but not uncontrollable. Not bad for a horse that hasn't been ridden in over a year. It was our 6th ride together in as much time off for me too. I'm so pleased you and I are both having good rides. Of course, mine aren't nearly as interesting as yours. If the guy next door to us with the cows decides he ever wants to let us follow the cows, I'll post a few pictures, but don't count on it.

  4. Wow, great video. I don't know a thing about horses except two out of three times I can pick them out from a cow. It didn't look like there was a whole lot of food for them cows to eat.

  6. I fell in love with Rowdy in Rawhide. I think I was 12. He was so cute and just so cool. He never got in a hurry and never made a mistake on the trail. He was the best employee. Head 'em up and move 'em out. It's wired into my brain. You're herd is a little smaller but hey Carson you'll get there.
    Best always, Sandra
