Our animals are a reflection of ourselves

A little worried...

Relaxing, but still not ready to let our guard down...

Hopeful...

Looking forward to tomorrow...

Proud to be living in a state that's leaning blue.

Smooch, you're such a political animal.

  2. Your pictures all look so bright and colorful and dry!! Better count your blessings girlfriend, because the rain is a falling here in the NW and the forecast is calling for more of the same for at least the next 7 days - eeeuuwww!! A day or two here and there is ok, but, I do believe that God forgets to turn the water off in November and remembers us again in say June!? Oh dear, I must have forgotten them again Gabriel!! Why didn't you remind me?? Can I come and stay with you for a while??
p.s. I too will be very glad when this election *crap* is over!!

It will be interesting to see the election results. I'm nervous! I left my absentee ballot at work today! I have to get it in!

  7. OK, the profundity of the title of this post gives me goose-bumps. Animals certainly can be a reflection of ourselves, and they can and do mirror back to us who we are.

    Great pictures of Smooch!

My state tends to be highly blue, but I do worry about some of the others...we will just have to see! :)

  12. Smooch looks like she needs a big hug. You need a big hug. We all do. My neck is so tense that it's killing me. Maybe we all need a good massage. I keep reminding myself to stop, let my tension go and breathe.

  14. Smooch certainly looks like she's part Basenji, but her barking tells me otherwise. I got her from a rescue on a nearby Indian reservation, and she's a New Mexico mutt through and through. Based on behavior, I'd say she's part greyhound and part red heeler and part rat terrier. Like most of you who commented, most people assume that Smooch is a he, but not so. In my mind, she's not a he or a she...just a Dog. A very cool Dog.

  16. Floyd the cat kept pacing over my back as we tried to sleep with this election day looming. He finally went outside and I turned on TV to watch some eastern polls open.
We voted absentee several weeks ago.

Poor boy - I recognize all those emotions he's got going on inside of himself. Hopefully, he's able to talk to you about everything and get it all off his chest. :-)
