Back in business! aka Every Light in the House

Whew! It was touch and go there for a few days. In one of the stupidest things I've done in recent memory, I caused the links to my blog to disappear; then earlier today, the blog itself vaporized. But we're back in business now.

If you haven't been able to land here this week, not to worry - you still have time to enter the Big 7MSN Giveaway. Click here for details.

Stressing about the missing blog has left me unprepared to post any new stories or pictures of the herd, so I'm just going to play along with the iPod virus that's been spreading. I caught it from one of my favorite wranglers, Karen, at Life at the Rough String. Here's the deal:

1. Put Your iTunes on Shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. Write down the name of the song no matter how silly it sounds!
4. Put any comments in brackets after the song name.
5. Tag at least 10 friends.
6. Anyone tagged has to do the same, because fun pointlessness spreads like a virus.

Consider yourself tagged if you want to play along.

Here we go..

If someone says, “Is this okay?” You say?
Hey, Good Lookin' - Jimmy Buffett
(I'm a little too shy to be saying that...)

How would you describe yourself?
Coming Around Again - Carly Simon (Maybe I've been reincarnated?)

What do you like in a girl/guy?
Tequila Sunrise - Eagles (A party guy? I don't think so.)

What is your life's purpose?
When I Get Where I'm Going - Brad Paisley (I'm already there)

What is your life motto?
Save the Last Dance for Me - EmmyLou Harris
(a two-steppin' fool til the end)

What do your friends think of you?
Would You Go With Me - Josh Turner
(sure...as long as I don't have to drive)

What do you think of your parents?
Silver Wings - Merle Haggard (an airplane ride away)

What do you often find yourself thinking about?
Choices - George Jones (should I ride first or do chores?)

What do you think of your best friend?
Texas - George Strait
(yep, George Strait would be my best friend if he didn't live all the way in Texas)

What do you think of the person you like?
Making Believe - EmmyLou Harris
(indeed...my boyfriend is imaginary)

What is your life story?
Just Enough Rope - Rick Trevino
(haven't hung myself yet...came close over the missing blog though)

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Amarillo by Morning - George Strait
(no, I don't want to be a town in Texas)

What do you think of when you see the person you like?
The Lucky One - Allison Kraus
(I'm lucky when I see anyone!)

What will you dance to at your wedding?
Forever and Ever, Amen - Randy Travis
(dream on...the marriage lasted two years)

What will they play at your funeral?
Dancing in the Dark - Bruce Springsteen
(figures they'd play one of my favorite songs after I'm dead)

What is your hobby/interest?
Who Needs Pictures - Brad Paisley
(now that's eerie)

What is your biggest fear?
Wave on Wave - Pat Green
(never was a big fan of swimming in the ocean)

What is your biggest secret?
Thunder Road - Bruce Springsteen
(I guess you'll find out when lightning strikes)

What do you think of your friends?
How's the World Treating You - James Taylor
(I hope it's treating you all well)

What will you post this as?
Every Light in the House - Trace Adkins

As long as we're on the subject of iPods, did you know it is possible to cause grievous harm to yourself with one? Click here for the scoop.

  1. LOL. Love the answers...very uncanny. I'll play along. Carolynn & Cow's Fabulous Adventure is sadly drawing to a close, so will likely get to this next week.

I thought something odd was going on over here at the Ranch...glad to hear you got everything sorted out.

  3. Thank goodness! I was wondering what the heck was going on.
On my blogroll I'd see a new post at the 7MSN but when I tried to come read it you weren't there! :(

As for the contest, I'm at work (boo - technically I'm done so I'm not sure why I'm here!) To be exact I'm in the office which is just off the bar so I am reading blogs and listening to the karaoke from the bar (yeah, I *know* you're jealous!! lol)
I am wearing brand new grey dress pants and an apple green sweater.

  4. Seems as if you got some very fitting answers to your questions, lol. As for the i-pod incident, i suggest a silicon cover for it. It will solve the problem, and we won't have to worry about whether you are dead on your mud room floor as we eat our turkey today.

  5. iPod?! Who can afford one these days? LOL I can barely afford to keep my heat on! Can't wait for Christmas so I'll have money from mom for the new digital tv I need. My other tv died last month. I've resorted to hulu.com or other sites for tv shows and music.
    Anyway,
    Have a great Thanksgiving!
