Skywatch Friday – At the gate

All my previous Skywatch photos have been taken at dusk, so I thought I'd change things up this week and show you that the sun also rises at the 7MSN. This picture was taken around 7 a.m.

I'm a morning person and usually jump out of bed at the first sign of light...which means I've been sleeping pretty late these days, despite Wynonna's bellowing from the barn. What's that? You want to hear her bellow again? OK, here she is. (Be careful if you're watching this at work...if not, crank up the audio and meet my alarm clock.)

For views of the sky from around the world, go to the Skywatch home page and click to your heart's content.

  1. I think Wynonna is demanding her breakfast, and says hurry up. My two dogs were sleeping on the bed when I played this, and jumped off the bed and barked CRAZY loud looking for what ever that noise was coming from. It was sooo funny....

Loved your picture today, very pretty. Have a great SWF....

  3. What a wonderful dawn chorus, I am at work and I played it loudly, several times!! :) My friend used to have a pot-bellied pig called porridge but I never remember her being that loud! Great skywatch picture too but I am afraid Wynonna upstaged it!

  9. Beautiful sky through the gate post there! I like the way the poles radiate out across the sky. No wonder that pig is bellowing, that old goat keeps butting into her! (I think the goat is trying to tell her to shut up!) I'll take the goat over the pig any day!

  12. Hello 7MSN, What a treat coming to visit here as I used to live on a 350 acre farm with two horses (Lucky, Shaker) and a dog (Goldie Bell). Your Sky Watch pic is beautiful but, that video is what sets the tone here. Thanks for sharing such a delightful post. Happy Sky Watching. Have a nice day.

  37. Good grief, that bellowing is gawd-awful! LOL! I was wondering if they get along (most of the time) in the same cage?

  38. Not to worry, Tink. Wynonna and Willie do get along famously and they are only kept in their "cage" overnight, so the coyotes and mountain lions aren't tempted. This carrying on you saw in the video occurs only at breakfast time.

Penni, Wynonna waits until after breakfast and she brushes her teeth before she puts on her makeup.

Thanks to all you first-time visitors who've made your way here from Skywatch. Please stop by again any time you're in the neighborhood. We love company.
