A harrowing experience

Not that kind, this kind!

I’d been wanting a harrow ever since I moved to the ranch, and since the federal government was planning to give me free money, I thought I’d do my bit to stimulate the economy.

So this is my harrow. It breaks up petrified poop piles in the pasture like nobody’s business. And it makes pretty little rows in the arena dirt while it collects the tumbleweeds and dead yucca heads. And it scares the heck out of the boys...which is good, since they leave me alone to let me drive around the pastures.

  1. LOL - our harrow just headed up to the arena to do its job in there after all this rain. Still no sun, but the rain has gone.

It's amazing how much good it does the fields to harrow them when the horses rotate. I notice a big difference in the regrowth if we harrow regularly.
