The shortest distance between two points is a straight line

  1. Yay Smooch! She looks great! Off Topic: How did you hang the rug behind the bed? I have several smaller rugs I would like to hang but have been reluctant for fear of damaging them.

    1. I first tried the same method I had used to hang a smaller rug - sticky back velcro attached to the wall and to the back of the top edge of the rug (this was the suggestion on a rug gallery site). Worked just fine until I went to move it and the sticky back velcro removed the top layer of paint and drywall. So for the large rug, I attached the sticky back velcro to a thin piece of board, then attached the board to the wall with screws. Major fail because the rug was too heavy and the velcro didn't stick to the rug or to the wood. After many more fails, I stapled the velcro to the wood and hand stitched the other side of the velcro to the top edge of the rug and it hasn't fallen on my head since.

    2. Thanks! I will have to investigate that. I have not had the best of luck with sticky backed velcro but was using that in a dog bed I made.

  10. Looks like you've got yourself the makings of an agility dog! How wonderful to see her feeling so frisky. It is said that bringing a pup into the house can revitalize an older dog. Throw in your delicious (to her) homemade diet too and she's looking fantastic!

  11. Once when I was schooling a new Driver on the fastest route through one town to another I used the old "the shortest distance between two points is a straight line". The Driver who was a math student at B.U. quipped "actually it's an arc". Smarty pants.

  13. Hahaha, I could see her salivating and licking her chops at the door before you even let her in! She looks SO good! That jump is amazing. And seemingly effortless!! I think I’m going to try that next time I’m there.
