Standing around, waiting for something exciting to happen

Smooch got tired of waiting and proceeded with her excavation project.

  1. Your title made me smile. And I hope it means you're not just waiting, but anticipating something or someone. (I have my own secret wish about that.)

  6. It's good to see Smooch! :) Is she still working on the same trench or does she have several around the fence?

  9. Smooch knows it’s a scientific fact that digging a trench not only makes dirt fly, but time as well. And maybe she’ll dig up something exciting!

  15. I can't find if there will there be a 2018 calendar. My 85 year old mom with Alzheimer's, who looks at her calendar every day and thinks a new photo : ), is inquiring. (So, am I.)

    1. I couldn't bring myself to look through all my photos to find 12 for 2018. My sincere apologies to you both.

    2. Not a problem. Take care of yourself. That is what is important.

  16. I wonder how much sand/soil she's brought into the house over the years. I do hope, before you (eventually) move somewhere to retire, that she catches whatever it is that she's digging for. My neighbor's dog dug up their backyard every spring and they finally figured out what the digging was about---cicadas digging/emerging from the soil. The dog could hear them and was hell bent to dig up every single one. I guess they're tasty. He ate a lot of them.
