  2. I'm not sure what will make JCC more happy, they have to wear those or he doesn't.

  3. Do they make grazing muzzles for people? I think I need one of those. And I'll grumble even more.

  4. Awwww, pore chicks. Alan is my favorite darling adorable honey-bunny; I love his little noises. How well they make their feelings apparent! You have strong nerves, to resist those faces!

  5. No! Not that time again! I hate seeing them as much as they hate wearing them.

  6. They're all so expressive. Alan gives me giggles with his noises, ear movements and Downward Donkey stretch. Thanks for sharing your life with us.

  7. What is amazing is that they don't fight you. They may make unhappy noises, but there is no twisting and turning of heads, no backing away. Think about trying to muzzle a cat--how different that would be!

  8. They didn't play truant protesting in Alberquerque last night, did they? (If they did, give them watermelon for me). And now you're muzzling the donkey press?

  9. This tells me the pasture is green again this year. They are so sweet and so good at the guilt inducing behaviors. Nasssty muzzles, yessss the are.

  11. I was cracking up at these three! Then I remembered..." Oh no I have I still have my winter weight...I'll take one in pink please

  12. Not the best day, poor things. But they are still the best donkeys in the world, can't believe they let you put on those things just like that. I would've been so mad ...

  13. Awwwww, I've never heard Alan make squeaky sleepy noises like that! And I'm jealous, it's shorts-weather in New Mexico!!! I had to laugh out loud about the 5th time you said "I'm not taking it off" as Alan was speedily hoofing it towards you...
    Persistent sweeties, aren't they. :-)

  14. I don't like it when they have to wear those muzzles even if it is for their best interest. What do they do about drinking water during the day? Noticed the cat on the fence watching over the happenings.

    1. Not to worry - the muzzles are designed so that they can still drink water. And they can even graze, though in greatly reduced amounts, through the hole at the bottom.
