Minnie plays with her food

 Lady Mary: Simply disgusting.

Minnie: Get over yourself. You'd be doing the same thing if you found it first.

Peach: You're besmirching the good name of chickens everywhere.

Minnie: Like you know what that word means.

Even Johnny couldn't believe his eyes.

 Minnie: Stop judging me!

Unnerved by the comments of her peers,
Minnie packed her lunch and walked off to eat in solitude.

  2. I love the photos of Lady Mary and Peach! I also have an embarrassing love/fascination with the yucky things your chickens eat - I guess all chickens?

  5. I too am perversely fascinated by these posts…. but I do think about the eggs…. just the tiniest hint of rat, tarantula?

  7. No chance for a rodent around your place. Cat and chicken both enjoy a mouse lunch. Johnny wouldn't dare attempt at a share in this one.

  8. I can't believe you have any rodents around. Between JCC, Smooch and the girls, I would think the rodent population would be extinct. Not to mention the snakes.

  9. I wonder if Johnny worries he might get fired. Betsy

  11. LOL. That was awesome. I am curious on the chickens now. Isn't Peach from the original batch (Lonesome Dove)?

  12. Yep, I knew from the title that this was NOT going to be a story about mild-mannered Downton Abbey chickens scratching around peacefully in the sun-warmed dirt. Love Johnny's astonished look!! Need a new sign: "Warning: Attack chickens on patrol!" :-)

  13. It would appear that all predators play Flip the Rat. My chickens played Flip the Snake, Flip the Mouse, Flip the Broccoli...Maybe it is like a gorilla pounding its chest...
