To everything there is a season

When I took this picture last weekend, I knew it looked familiar.

Sure enough, I was able to find the image it reminded me of, which I took last summer.

And that one reminded me of this one, which I took last fall,

which reminded me of this one, which I took last winter.

The light is different, the pasture is different, Lucy's coat is different, but one thing is the same.
It's always time to eat.

  1. I didn't know Lucy had a tattoo! We do have a tendency to take a style of picture with our critters. I am particularly fond of sheep muzzle, close up and getting closer.

  2. The four-picture set up would be good on a calendar.

  3. So lovely. The spring one is typical NM spring -- dry, dry, although I don't see any wind! My fav is winter, something about the harmoniousness of the the colors of Lucy and the winter grasses. You have a creative, artistic touch. Thanks for the beauty to start my day. Becky

  6. Your title almost gave me a heart attack! I think of funerals when I see that quote and was worried something had happened to Lucy!

  8. Ms. Lucy is beautiful in all seasons. This is exactly why I have to label my animals photos....I tend to take similar shots of them as well. These are as always so beautiful.

  11. In her fall short coat, Lucy reveals that in her youth she met up with a sailor, got drunk in an open field on fermented hops and then wandered into a tattoo parlor. She remembers nothing of this (so she insists), but it sure makes her look like one tough cookie!!

Nice collage(?) with the seasons! It would make a beautiful postcard. =)
Maybe you should sell some of your pictures as postcards?! =)

Glad to see that spring is finally here! Whew...
