Hank's discriminating palate

While Alan and Lucy and George were chomping on cholla Sunday, Hank was grazing on grass.
Nice to know I have one normal equine in the herd.

He even came up for air so I could take his portrait.

I wish you could know Hank like I know Hank.
He's so much more than just a pretty face.

  2. Linda, I would be happy to know Hank better. If I send you a self-addressed, padded envelope, could you send him to me? Thanks in advance :)

  5. I can only imagine the musky, horsey smell of him. The warmth of his breath. The thoughtful gaze as he tries to decide if you are going into the feed room...

  8. Handsome Hank has horse sense...eat all the good grass while those silly donkeys are munching cholla. Ha. Same goes on here. My horses watch in wonder whenever Russell is eating some nasty prickly bush. :)

  11. These are beautiful pictures of your handsome, dignified fellow. I only know him from pictures, but I love him. I especially love his parti-colored hooves which I have noticed in other photos.
I never doubted that there is more to Hank than meets the eye, but what meets the eye is remarkable.

  12. I have a recurring dream of visiting 7MSN and meeting Hank and Co. Had one where since I am jockey weight, I was allowed to ride him!

  14. "A PICTURE IS WORTH 1000 WORDS" .. you posted 3 pics, but even then, 3000 words is never enough for what the mind can tell but the mouth cannot keep up with.

Nobody can ever tell the full story without living in one's shoes.

  15. This must sound very silly, but Hank has always reminded me of my big American come-down-the-road dog: gentle, sweet-natured, yet very naturally The Boss without being bossy. I could not have made him accept me as his leader, he asked me to be his leader. I swear he could read my thoughts. The most beautiful being, inside and out, I've ever known. I wish you many, many happy years more with Hank!
