Saturday encore ~ Frosty and Feisty

I posted this originally on October 9, 2011. What a difference a year makes.
I'm still running around in shorts and there isn't a freezing temperature in sight, which is just fine by me.

***

It was a little wintery here Saturday morning.
There was a layer of ice on the stock tank, snow on the mountain...

...and mud on the horse.

George and Alan were feeling a little feistier than usual in the cold morning air.

Me: Lucy, you might want to think about getting out of their way.

Lucy: They wouldn't dare step on me.

Me: Don't say I didn't warn you.

Lucy: Alright, alright, I'll move.

Oh, to be inside their heads and know what they're thinking when they carry on like this.

Part of me thinks they're just doing what burros do...

but another part of me thinks they want their own reality tv show.

  1. I love the photos of the two battling burros. They always look like they are so happy messing with each other.
Yep, not quite as cold as last year but we're getting there....thank goodness for the cool down.

  2. Eighteen degrees here last night. Poor Ramsey was puffed up like a cotton ball and still thinking he needs more fur.

  4. They are a hoot...love the posts and love the scenery....The only thing I hate to see are those slithering snakes....I really have a hard time and sometimes I hyperventilate and get really cold to the point that I have to lay down and regroup....But I really love the desert...
    Love from NC

  5. Love the muddy horse and snowy mountain.
I don't know what George and Alan are thinking, but I think they ham it up for you. Clicker training. They ham, you click.
