Modern art

I discovered a new artist last week.

I am captivated by his bold and flowing brush strokes.

And his use of earthtones and textures...what can I say? They speak to me.

His paintings are abstract yet convey a sense of purpose and direction,
as if he were searching for something...food perhaps.

I've yet to meet the artist in person, but rumor has it he has teeny tiny feet, little beady eyes, and a long tail.
He does his best work on my back porch after a severe dust storm.

Smooch is anxious to meet him, too.

  5. You are so right! It's amazing. I especially like the juxtaposition of heavy tail strokes and misty undisturbed space. (I've always wanted to use the word, "juxtaposition".)

How much does he charge? I've been thinking about painting a wall and I haven't found the exact LOOK I wanted until now. Smooch you ARE amazing. Hugs

  7. The artist is shy, huh?. Very nice of you to provide a canvas for him to express his creative side.

  11. Artists can be tempermental, so you may have a hard time getting him to socialize, unless you put out a few appetizers, perhaps.

  14. Carson and all the lovies at 7MSN, I just love all of you!

I am a new mom to 3 miniature donkeys (Toby, Hank & Cash) and have a hobby farm of my own in Ontario Canada. I came across your blog and have read every entry, learned a lot, had my heart broken a lot and laughed a lot. Thank you for your help in my search on how to care for my new babes as best I can. I've started my own little hobby blog to share to love of animals with others (Donkey Bums) I look forward to riding along with you all in the future.
