Silly reindeer games

There I was, innocently shopping online for a tick collar for Smooch,
when I saw it – the must-have equine accessory of the season. On sale.

What can I say? I'm a sap for equine headwear.

Especially the kind that lights up.

Sure, the antlers look like a pair of alien hands from the rear view, but who cares?
I knew the minute I saw these that I could play some silly reindeer games with my herd
and this blog would live to see another day.

One of these things is not like the other.

Me: Lucy, dear, could you look up for a second, please?
Lucy: In a minute. A reindeer's got to eat, you know.
I've got to bulk up for that big job I've got lined up on the 24th.

Santa: Now, Dasher! Now, Dancer! Now, Prancer and Lucy!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! On, Donner! And Goosey!
Let us all be thankful that I don't write Christmas carols for a living.

Lucy: If I'm going to wear these, I want top billing.

Lucy: Not one word out of you, shortstuff.

The only thing better than one reindeer hat is two reindeer hats, and, yes, I bought a pair.
We'll see if Donner and Blitzen Alan and George can get with the program in time for the big day.

  1. I have never seen anything like that ... that is halarious! Lucy is such a good girl to go along with her mom's wishes ... I hope the boys are just as co-operative.

  6. Breathe - I ordered these from jefferspet.com a few weeks ago. When I looked for them again yesterday, they were no longer advertised, so I couldn't link to them.

  11. Lucy looks like she is ready for her close-up with Santa. The only gear like this I've seen before is for a car...that I thought about buying on Amazon for ...5 seconds...

  13. It wouldn't be the Christmas season without a 7MSN fashion show. It's a tradition, you know!
