The porcine princess stakes her claim

In the vastness of this desert landscape, leave it to the porcine princess
to seek out and claim a prime piece of real estate.

Sheltered from the wind and drifting sand, she nestles amongst the sagebrush,

keeping her eye on the door from which I will emerge to feed her.

Sorry, Wynonna, it's not time to eat. It's time to remind everyone who has yet to enter the big giveaway to count the bales of hay left in the barn and submit their answer. An $80 gift certificate at csn|stores awaits the winner! Contest closes Friday at 7pm Mountain time. Don't delay. Count the hay. Make it pay. What do you say? Go on and play. Ok?

  1. Ha ... that is too cute how Wynonna 'hides' among the sagebrush. Whatta gal!

  2. I hadn't met Wynonna yet. She's a beauty.

  3. Why, she blends right in with the shadows! (Probably lying in ambush, waiting for the food lady to walk by carrying bananas.)

A pig can dream, can't she?

  4. That's my girl! Of course she picked the best spot, she's just the smartest gal around. One must protect themselves from sun damaged skin you know and the shadows from the sagebrush should help.

The hay bales, hmmm.... I'll take a stab at it and say 52.

  7. I've been wondering where my girlfriend's been. I'll bet she's the sweetest smelling porcine in New Mexico after rubbing her belly on that sagebrush. *Big smoochy kiss*

  8. Of course she's working on that well known principle that if she can't see you then you can't see her. LOL

Does she need sunblock in the summer or is she OK because her skin is dark?

My Dad is in love with Micro Pigs and wants a herd of them (personally I'd go for a Mangalitsa, Tamworth or Gloucester Old Spot). I'm all up for it but Mum is not amused. Haha

  9. She is such a funny girl. Did you ever tell the story of how Wynonna came to be on 7MSN? Was she a rescue? Do you have to trim her feet often? A blogging friend of mine has pot bellied pigs and will tell stories of the big-ado (read: bloody-murder squealing and shrieking) that goes on when they try to trim their pigs' feet. I'm sure Wynonna is much better behaved than that, right? lol

  10. Love her and love her shadow in the first picture. You know how we are about hugs and kisses - please give her both from us all!
