You know you live in the middle of nowhere when...

...when you leave for the grocery store before the sun comes up so that you can get back home before the road thaws out and turns to mud.

But it's worth it because you get to see the day break,

and how many people get to see this on their way to Walmart anyway?

The downside of living in the middle of nowhere is that you don't get to see your friends as often as you'd like, so imagine my delight when I got home today and found an e-mail from Bernard and Ellsworth's mom that they have their own blog! Now I'll be able to visit them all the time, and so can you. Click here and tell them George and Alan sent you.

  1. Gosh....got up way too early today. You are one lucky girl to view all that beauty on the way to the grocery store. Morning Bray is on my favorites list...can't wait to watch the boys over there develop their personalities.

  9. Lol, I thought you were going to say it takes you all day to get them. I go to town and it's usually at least 4-5 hours before I get back home. Of course, I often take in a movie. ;)

  13. Beautiful pictures of daybreak. As long as you have to be up that early for chores, you might as well be able to enjoy the scenery.
I'll have to check out the new blog, thanks for the link.

  15. Gorgeous!

Welcome to the blogging community, Morning Bray folks. Although, I'm not sure I can handle more burro cuteness the likes of your adorable fellas!

    *sigh* Okay....I'll risk it.

  17. You know the best part of going to town that early? You beat the traffic! Not sure if there's a lot of traffic your way unless you count the four legged kind?
I went to see the "Morning Bray" folks too; their fellas are so darned cute......however, I'm still a huge fan of Alan & George too! Good Morning to you! Teresa

  19. Gorgeous! I love the clouds through the back window of the truck in the first photo. And looking at the 95th straight day in a row of gray skies here (maybe that's slightly exaggerated), I'm envious of your blue skies and gorgeous view.

  20. Absolutely beautiful!! That would be one of only a few things to make me get up that early to go to Walmart. I am ready to move to New Mexico!! Thanks for the beautiful pictures!

  21. Oh my GOSH!! How beautiful. I used to live in Manassas, VA and could see the Blue Ridge Mountains when I drove to and from work. I thought they were beautiful, but you really have a stupendous view! And thanks for the link to Bernard and Elsworth. You just pour on the fun every day, Linda. Thanks!

  22. Gorgeous dahling....which range again? I will get to see the awesome 40-some wind generators south of Estancia when I head to my Walmart in Edgewood...sure beats what I have to look at now, in Washington. Come on economy, get the lead outta ya!

  24. Gosh, my Walmart route is definitely low on the scenic score. I love it when the world turns pink, it's like it's become shy or something...
