Saturday encore ~ The Instigator

Here's an oldie but a goodie, from July 2008.

I was minding my own business, checking fence the lazy way – on the Ranger. Silly me drove home through the middle of the pasture, only to encounter the boys.

Hmm...tastes pretty good. Could use more salt.

Lyle, not the camera bag!

Lyle, leave the pail alone.

Lyle, don't even think about it.

Lyle, if you had a hammer, you wouldn't know what to do with it.

See what you've done? Now George has to get in on the act.

George, don't go there...

George, just because Lyle does something doesn't mean you have to...

But, Mom, you let him do it.

Yeah, you let Lyle do it. He gets away with everything.

Mom, can I have a ride back to the barn?

Lyle, just...go...away.

  2. Look at all those great helpers you have. Scorch walked off with my utility knife the other day.

  3. My 4 year old busted a gut at Lyle grabbing the hammer! Then she said "remember that cute dog Smooch?"

  5. Horses do seem to like paint or maybe they just like mischief. One of my horses left two nice big scratches half the length of the truck hood from dragging it's teeth across it. Try explaining that to a body shop.

  6. How funny! We have a Gator and you should see the bite marks and scratches that the horses and donkeys have made on it. Our Mustang runs off with everything that is not tied down. Gotta love 'em!

  7. I love seeing the curiosity of Lyle and what he chooses to check out. My gelding used to grab the hammer all the time when we were working down by the barn.....must be a manly thing! :)
