Deets, the movie

Since recovering from his little mishap at the hooves of Lyle, Deets has become one cautious cat, and that's a good thing. But that doesn't mean he's lost his coolness.

The winner of The 7MSN Ranch Mercantile giveaway is commenter number 79 - June, who swilled coffee for breakfast. June, please email your mailing address to me at: the7msn at gmail dot com. Thanks for participating, everyone! I was thoroughly enlightened and entertained by what y'all ate for breakfast. (Seriously, Rhonda, popcorn chicken, banana, donut stick, and hot cocoa?)

  2. Deets is most definitely the coolest cat around! He's roaming around, but still checking out his surroundings and at the end when he jumps through his little door ... that's simply the best!

Congrats to June on being the winner!

  3. A Star is born. I even read his lips near the end and I swear it was meow. Great movie, Carson. His really owns the place.

  4. I love that ending shot!
Deets' tail always makes me think of an opossum...when he passes under the fencing I think he might get caught there!

    And...
oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy!
    I won!
    I won!

    Oh boy oh boy!
    Thank you!

  6. Seriously, that was my breakfast! I was up early to work in the school lunchroom, and I was just grabbing stuff out of the kitchen to eat before I went. :) I loved the video today of Deets, especially that very last "disappearing act" with Lyle coming after him! I also got a kick out of that "whoosh" of green hay that came flying up between the burros as they were eating. LOL

  7. The way Deets carries himself reminds me of my dearly departed BooBoo.

    Highly entertaining, as always.

  8. Deets is most definitely a cool cat - and SO handsome! I loved how he scooted through that kitty door at the end! Many years ago I read an article that said black cats have a special gene that makes them so sweet and personable..... I've never found that article again and I really don't know if it was a valid claim, but I found black cats to be incredibly wonderful cats!

  11. I must say, that it strikes me that you have the friendliest 'barn cat' that I've ever seen. He actually wants to hang out with you.

What does Lyle have against Deets? He actually went after him. It's not like Deets comes and snacks on Lyle's dinner.

  20. I love this, Deets is a star. I think he needs a cat friend to play with, another outside cat.

  21. It's quite obvious who owns the place...it's the filthy dirty, high-stepping Mr. Cat of Adventure. Starring Deets, the Coolest Cat of Them All!

  22. This was a nice friday afternoon surprise! No words can really describe this guy, but he's in charge, that's for sure. Love him! And the fact that he's polished and shiny in one shot and dusty all over in the next, tells us that he's a hard working barn cat.

Thanks for the treat - more, more! And have a nice weekend over there!

  23. Boy cats are the best! There is a James Bond-ness to his swagger, methinks.

  24. Exit, stage right. Deets is definitely a cat with a plan.

Glad his reflexes remain sharp enough for him to stay ahead of Lyle (And how is Lyle doing?).

  25. Busy guy, he always looks like he's on a mission. Love the ending through the door. Great music too.

I missed the contest! I can't believe it! See, this is what happens when I take a break and don't check in with my favourites every day. Rats! I'll check out your mercantile though. Great idea!

  29. I get the feeling that if Deets wore pants, he'd hitch them up and go "yep, I'm the cat, uh huh!". Such self confidence and I love his cat swagger.
