A Cautionary Tail

I am cautiously optimistic that Deets' recent encounter with Lyle has taught him a valuable lesson about horses and hooves.

As I watched him enjoy his first hours of freedom in two weeks, I saw him look both ways before crossing the corral.

Is it me or is he using his tail as a turn signal?

I also watched him decide that the shortest distance between two points may not be the safest.

By my accounting, Deets has seven lives left.

He assures me he will use them very wisely.

  1. The pictures of the 'cautious' Deets are cute, especially the 'turn signal tail'ones, but the last picture is really awesome. Look at those huge, beautiful eyes!!! WOW!!!

  2. Deets is such a handsome cat! And a little bit smarter now, too.
And yes, his tail is either a turn signal or a mental windsock.

  3. I'm glad Deets is free to do what Deetses do. Both our cats are indoors, and none of the dogs has any horse sense whatsoever.
