You know this blogging thing is out of control when...

...when your 80-something parents mail you suggestions for a post, complete with the requisite props. And that's all I'm going to say about that for now, other than it should be a good one if it works.

Here's something you didn't know about this blog – my parents are its biggest fans. Every Sunday, they gather 'round Dad's computer to review the week's posts. And every Thursday during our weekly phone conversation, they tell me how much they love the blog and seeing the animals. But it seems their favorite thing about this blog are your comments. They read every single one and are continually amazed, as am I, by the wonderful people who stop by to visit. So thank you, my friends, from the entire Carson family.

It's snowing big time today - just came back in from shoveling off the satellite dish so I could get online to post this.

Smooch and I are headed out now for a major seasonal photo shoot...complete with props.

Oooo! I see that snow. Very pretty shot with the inside/outside look - cozy plus cold contrast, very affective. Smooch looks sleepy. Bet that cold air perked things up.

Oh I hope it pictures of Alan, George & Smooch in santa hats. That would be a hoot and a great picture for next years calendar.

I'm so happy to "meet" your parents, Linda! How neat that they enjoy your blog and comments so much. I know I sure do. This is the first time I've left a comment though. Your blog is one I love! Your animals are awesome...no way could I pick a favorite. They're ALL my favs!

That's great that your parents enjoy your blog as much as we do. hehhee!

Yes, I got a dusting of snow but it looks like more on the way...

That is just too cool that your parents keep up with you via your blog, AND that they pass along suggestions!

Looks like you have a significant snowfall by looking out your/Smooch's window. Good gosh, it's 66 and sunny here today ... unusual for us. This one day summer/one day winter weather is getting old and I wish Ma Nature would make up her mind!

Hey! Hi Mom & Dad! I'm up here in what is supposed to be the frozen north watching the rain fall in a dull, gray drizzle. I thought your daughter lived in the desert. *head shaking* I simply cannot get my mind wrapped around the images of snow she's posting. I'm convinced they've been photoshopped.

Uh-oh. What are Hank. Lyle, and the Burrito Bros. in for this time?

And please keep the snow.

That is so cute! My parents read my blog, too! I love that it is snowing there! I want it to snow. It's hard to get into the Christmas spirit without some cold frosty weather or some snow.....

From the other side of the mountain -- all we received was a drizzle of rain. Shucks!

Hi Mom & Dad! Please don't tell my mom I'm reading blogs instead of cleaning the house.

(BTW, did you know dust bunnies will fossilize?)

Hats! Do I sense a hat post in the near future? Sooo exciting!

Hi Linda's parents!!! :-)
And here I thought it was funny (in an awesome way) that my husband is constantly trying to feed me blogging material ("oh, you *definitely* need to blog about that giant mushroom outside the back door"). :-)
Can't wait to see the blog post with the props!

Hi Linda's Mom & Dad! I bet you both enjoy seeing your grandcritter kids every day via Linda's blog.

My parents check out my blog every day, too. It's easier to keep up with what's going on around here that way, for sure.

It snowed a little this morning up here, but only a dusting. Looks like the skies want to drop more snow, but for now just grey skies.

Stay warm and dry and have fun with those 'props' :)

How wonderful that your parents are interested in, and enjoy, what you are doing with your blog! Very cool!

Hi Linda's Mom and Dad! We love your daughter and all of her children/animals.

It's snowing there?! We haven't had a drop or a flake here.

Can't wait to see the major seasonal photo shoot.

Would that cute card be the first of the season for you, Carson? The little dog in the picture has a stocking that says "Mine". Animals are not the best at sharing if there are treats. It's great to have parents in your fan club. Please keep the snow in the south. We've got rain here in Canada and hopefully we can escape from the white blankie for a few more days.I really don't like winter very much. Cindy loved the calendar. Thanks so much. Best always, Sandra

Your daughter is amazing! i am sure you knew that.

I begin each day at the 7MSN Ranch, with a cup of coffee...I wouldn't have it any other way!

I'm waving hi to your parents from SW Missouri! ~~HI~~

How wonderful that they read and offer suggestions for your blog! You are so lucky, and for that matter they are lucky too to have such a nice animal lover in the family!

So now it's something of a Carson Family Blog--I love it!
My folks are 86 years young and as computer-savvy as they come. The other day, I called Mom (who lives in Florida, I am in NJ) and she said immediately, "Let's Skype!"
There is no keeping up with this generation. You just don't know what they will do next!

My family are my best fans also! My husband is gone all week long from home, so he loves to visit my blog and see how my day has gone! He even gives me pointers on what to photograph or post! I love to read my comments. I love your blog one of the many that is my favorite!

Hi Mom and Dad, Your daughter is so amazing. The first thing I do is look at her blog, have some laughs, before I start my work. My husband and i would love to meet her and all the animals. Dearly love Allan and George. Keep up the good work and pictures. It is a bright spot in my day. Bev in Fla.

Hello to Linda's mom and dad!! My own husband doesn't read my blog on a regular basis. Linda's blog keeps me wishing for donkeys. I'm afraid her burro boys are as close as I'll ever get.

LInda, shoveling the satellite dish? Drag!

It's great that you have so much support - of course, I imagine if you actually KNEW this crew, it wouldn't take much coaxing to regularly visit. I also think it's amazing that you know some "80-somethings" that can operate a computer! My own folks struggle with that! Hi parents!

Liz said...

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Carson. Now I'm really in trouble here...you have all those great critters AND two parents in their 80's that can use a computer? You are one lucky cowgirl. Per usual, after reading your blog, I've got tears in my eyes....from sheer joy and happiness.

I have got to read your blog at least once a week if not every day! If I miss to many days of George and Alan, I am miserable! They provide humor, and I just love em. (PS- LOVE MY CALENDAR!)
