What a great bunch of kids

They may not make me breakfast or bring me flowers on Mother's Day, but they're more than happy to pose while I try out the new lens I bought for myself.

I'm lovin' the new lens, though Smooch doesn't share my enthusiasm.

Looking into her eyes, I think I see Smooch's soul.

  7. Happy Mother's Day to you, Linda!! Sure wish I could afford a camera/lenses like that....'course it's more the person behind the camera!! Gorgeous pics. I'm kinda partial to the furred and feathered kids myself. Your previous post made me laugh! When I first got Jasmine I used to say to people "Wanna see a picture of my large standard ass?" :)

  8. What a bunch of cuties - so what if "breakfast in bed" involves you getting out of a warm bed to go dish up their brekky, eh!

  10. Happy Mother's Day, Linda. That's a beautiful brood you have there. I think the gift you gave yourself is entirely appropriate and something they all would have pitched in for.

All striking photos, as always, however, I do love the first one. Can a pair of eyes get any bigger than that?!

  11. Your kids are the cutest! I bet you are already planning next year's holiday card, lol!
Love what you did with the new lens, I think I know which one it is! I want it too, but actually have to get a slightly different one for my D40 (DX, I guess it needs a lens to be used w/automatic focus.) I'm saving my pennies and hope to have it by summer!
Happy mother's day to you and yours!

  12. Linda.....hey those pics are gifts that will last all year long. Besides, I've tried milk and sugar over kitty kibble and it's the pits!

    Happy Mmmm Day!

  13. Pony Girl, check out the used lenses at Adorama.com. I picked up this one used for $99 and there's not a blemish on it. It's the 50mm 1.8 - not quite as nice as the one I didn't win over at PW's this week but close enough.
