The front porch doesn't see much action in winter, just a quick visit now and then to watch the day end. Sitting there all bundled up against the cold isn't much fun after the first few minutes.
But the days are noticably longer now. The sun is setting a tiny bit more north on the horizon every day. By the time it moves over three more ridges, I'll be sitting on my porch wearing shorts and flip flops, and the only icy cold I'll have to deal with will be the frosty beverage in my hand.
Spring...I can almost taste it.

Beautiful and I too am celebrating the days of longer daylight. It's been a very long winter...
I've been lucky enough to have a couple of days lately that I've been able to sit on my front porch, although bundled, and enjoy myself with a cup of hot coffee ... I do look forward to spring and spending more time there, it's usually my treat after a day of working outdoors.
Good capture and that sounds like a plan, I like flip flops and a cold beverage.
What beautiful light! Yes, flip flops and a cold drink sound heavenly just about now. :)

Ahh, the New Mexico light - can't beat it. I'm noticing that it's not pitch black out when I feed the horses in the morning, and dinner time is coming later in the afternoon since it's still light. Don't you love the smell of Spring in the air and that little softness when the wind blows? You're right, you can almost taste it.
