It's pretty hard to upstage the fabulous burrito brothers, but Mother Nature did just that earlier this week. She capped off a 70-degree afternoon with this spectacular light show.

Absolutely awesome.
Those clouds are awesome! And what a great silhouette.
Wow. That is an amazing shot!
Positively beautiful! The burros are framed by a stunning sunset.
Amazingly beautiful, but why does George and Allan look like they're arguing - under such a beautiful sky? Or maybe George is cleaning Allan's teeth perhaps?
A great capture for sky watch.
A arvellous sky, but the kissy, kissy lovebirds aregreat too.
Oh I could watch the sky forever with sights like this. Very pretty.
Fantastic gorgeous picture!
I like this set of photos for SkyWatch Friday. I am always interested in what others are doing. Have a nice weekend.

Fabulous colors in the sky and also great cloud formations. I love the way you caught it over the burrito brothers. The whole shot is magnificent.
Awesome as usual. What a light show your skies have.
sooo beautiful & love the silhouetted donkeys
That sky is jaw-droppingly gorgeous!! And the perfect place for a burro kiss. (Good music, too - the Burrito Bros!!)
Absolutely stunning!
Orange sky? Never saw such a beautiful orange. Fantastic shot of the love-bugs.
70 degrees. Beautiful!
I live vicariously through you.
That's quite the contest in my mind . . .sun or burros. Stunning colors, for sure.
Breathtaking beauty and I think the fabulour burrito brothers are commenting on it to each other.
The donkey silhouettes set off that sunset beautifully..
Amazing shot, and greate colors!
What a wonderful sunset you have captured. Thank you. The donkeys appear to be studying it also.
printable for sure!!! wonderful photo!
wow, that's a gorgeous shot!
You don't really WANT a bunch of newcomers moving to New Mexico, do you? Well, with all these gorgeous sunsets you keep posting, I'm seriously considering a move.
This photo is amazing! And I enjoyed the pics of the stock tank too. Now off to grab a glass of water. ;)

Wow, beautiful!!! How come you get all the beautiful sunsets? =( LOL!
You know if we didn't know any better we would almost think it was two donkeys in love in the foreground, having a romantic date watching the sunset. ;D
That's one of the best sunsets that I've ever seen.
Very nicely silhouetted & great colors!
Wow, Excellent skywatch photo!
Wow, that is stunning! Happy swf. :)
This photograph should win an award with the cute donkeys and dynamite sunset. Donkeys look like Valentine's Day happens everyday. Simply divine!

Gotta love it when nature blesses you with unique moments like these. Great job!
Awesome and humbling. Thanks for sharing.
Once again, and I know I'm repeating myself, OH HOW I MISS NEW MEXICO. Sigh. Thank you for my fix. Can I steal that and save it to my computer for everyday non-internet viewing?
Of all the Skywatch photos this week, yours is my favorite.
Just stunning! Both the sky and your shot of it.
Joy, thanks for asking - permission granted. I may use this one for my own screensaver.
That really is gorgeous. Although, in spite of the fabulous colours and textures in the sky, it would definitely be lacking something if the Fabulous Burrito Brothers (love that! They could take that on the road, but I digress.) weren't shown in profile at the bottom.
Have a great weekend!
beautiful. The skies and the two little donkeys!
Holy Cow,
Absolutely great picture.
Very beautiful! A very lucky shot. If you want to take a photo like that you have to look hard and this is very special.
Fantastic! What a wonderful capture, thanks for sharing it with us.

Thank you! going to grab it right now.
Now that's great lighting. You caught it at the right moment. Burros aren't bad either!
Ah, the fabulous burrito brothers--gotta love it! Some days I swear I can hear you all making each other laugh all the way over here in eastern New Mexico!
